Borgo Cipressi

Borgo Cipressi is in a stunning location and can be reached by driving up a steep, narrow, winding lane. The nearest town is Cortona, a medieval hill-top city, just 15 minutes away from Borgo Castagno. Borgo Castagno was built over a century ago as a “Casa Colonica” The farmhouse and stables have been renovated and transformed into seven beautiful cottages.
The cottages have a country feel with country-style rustic furniture accompanied with additional decorative pieces which create a homely feel. Original terracotta tiled floors, rough timber beams, all giving each cottage it’s own character and individual appeal. The natural flora and fauna is apparent in the cottage gardens. Vines tumble haphazardly over walls, the air is full with the scent of geraniums and roses. From the swimming pool (10 x 5 metres) there are splendid views of the valley below and on a clear day you can see Lake Trasimeno.
