Flavours of Umbria

Good wholesome food is central to the way of life in Umbria. Fresh pasta is a daily staple while meat and pulses are often flavoured with local truffles and mushrooms. White wine tends to be drunk more widely than red with Orvieto and Grechetto amongst the best known labels. Not to be missed, Perugino chocolate comes from the Umbrian town of Perugia.
